I would not put it past the owner to think that he could get away with arson to collect $. I know the owner personally. He told me that his business took a major hit when Baja Fresh opened a few years ago, and in today’s economic climate I can imagine that he was dreading Chipotle’s opening.
Don’t take my word on the owner’s questionable character, go to the courthouse and look up his criminal record (included you’ll find at least 2 felony dui’s), or talk to his previous employees (that he regularly smoked marijuana with) or his vendors that he was regularly a jerk to.
Real world rules have never applied to this guy. (He has lived inside of the SLO bubble most of his life, where his friends dads were the local cops and his dad was a local celebrity of sorts.) He has lived a life free of consequences — and personally, I hope that this time, his stupidity catches up to him.

Wow i didn’t realize this guy was that much off his rocker. Small animals? How could anyone do that to them….. I hope your sisters comes to a full recovery. I as many christian belive that the lord works in mysterious ways… I am fully confident that the lord will deal with this in his own way..

My whole family will pray for your sister full recovery and hope the owner receive what he deserves…

Not sure where you are getting your info, but I am glad you stepped up and said something as I now feel the courage to do so.

My sister, who\’s name I will not share, has been in counseling ever since her job as a waitress at Cabo.

Not only did the manager sexually harass her many times, he claimed if she did not cooperate, he would molest a small animal every time she said no!

As for the insurance fraud, I would not put it past him to pull something like that!

I\’m sure there are more of you out there that can testify! Please, now is your time!

I have met the owner on several occasions. Real odd guy and very deceitful.. I assume and would not be surprised if he burned his place down for money. I know he used to harass the women he worked with and is a real perv

Sounds like the owner knew his business was going under, and burned the place down to collect the insurance money.
