It may be less than a month before football season starts, but the biggest question surrounding the Cal Poly football team is still unanswered.

Cal Poly student, Mike Gahan, is preparing for his second professional MMA fight at Cal State Bakersfield on Aug. 14.

Cal Poly has been accepted as an affiliate member of the Pacific-10 Conference for the sport of men’s swimming and diving, beginning with the upcoming 2010-11 academic year.

The Cal Poly women’s soccer team recently released their 2010 regular season schedule. Slated are 19 matches, including games against North Carolina, San Diego State, Arizona and San Jose State, as well as exhibition contests against Azuza Pacific and Westmont.

Former Cal Poly wide receiver Ramses Barden may have yet to establish himself as an every down player in the NFL, but the buzz around one of the most prolific wide receivers in Cal Poly history is pointing otherwise.

Each and every player from the Cal Poly baseball team (unless injured) will be out on the diamond getting work in this summer. And four players in particular are playing with the SLO Rattlers.
