How to sign up
Getting news on the go is easy with the Mustang Daily’s text messaging news system. Simply sign up by inputting your cell phone number into the form on the right hand column of our web site.
Will it be annoying?
No! We won’t text you for every article we post, so it’s not like spam. You’ll only get the breaking stuff, sometimes even before we post the article. That means you’ll be the first to know what’s happening on campus. We won’t send you more than 2-3 texts a week (unless, of course, it’s a very crazy news week).
What if I want it to stop?
If you decide you no longer want to receive updates, shoot an e-mail to mustangdailyonline@gmail.com with the subject STOP and your 10 digit phone number.

Why should I sign up?
You’re a college student. Or maybe you’re a parent. Or alumni. Or professor. No matter who you are, you’re probably busy. But that shouldn’t keep you from staying in the loop with Cal Poly news. With our text alert service, we deliver the news to you, instead of you having to seek it out.
Help us make it better!
We know the service isn’t perfect. It’s actually very experimental right now. But that’s why you can help us. What do you like? What could be better? What could be worse? E-mail mustangdailyonline@gmail.com with any suggestions you have about our texting service.
